creating magnificently with the red sox and my daughter...
Oh, this one is sooo good, its delicious--Just thought i would share it with all of you, and show you how making a few wishes, from the position of gratitude and joy--with the anticipation of magic and miracles can make amazing things happen!
So, many of you know my magnificent creator husband has taken a rest from customary employment to have a wicked ROCKIN break...and during this wonderful time where we have been continually focusing on adventure and joy and knowing we are fully supported by the universe...our stream has been moving EXTREMELY fast--which causes a few bumps along the way, shooting off huge rockets of desire which are then completely realized and more...
background...every year poppi goes away to see the red sox with a dear friend for a boys weekend--usually he travels to seattle and sees them play the mariners--which wasnt going to work out this year because we were visiting my childhood FAVORITE place, block island--when that series was on--so, he shot off a rocket of desire to see the sox in boston with his friend who had been wanting to go, but couldnt ever get off the time--well, bam...first thing--he got the time...and so, poppi enjoyed scheduling his trip for this coming week...and boy did he take his time enjoying that--and it kind of irked me--and i thought well heck--i want to go see the red sox play!
bam...that next weekend, we happened to be going to his mothers 80th birthday up in new england and poppi, as a surprise, scheduled a sox game that evening instead of driving home--and we had a marvelous time suprising our girls with that--we LOVE to plan surprises...and it was so much fun--and while we were at the game--we focused on the fact that manny ramirez--the sox slugger was close to hitting 500 home runs--and all of us to a person said--wow--wouldnt it be wonderful if WE got to see manny hit his 500th home run--well, he was at 496 on that date, and while hitting 4 home runs in one game is possible, he probably wasnt going to get enough at bats for that to occur...this was in the beginnning of may...
So, we enjoyed that game, and got even more excited to see more sox games and be among boston fans who are marvelous people, tons of fun and very down to earth...home we went that night and on to other advenutures in mexico and block island and really enjoying life full of JOY and gratitude...
When poppi finally figured out his trip, the girls mentioned that they would love to go to more games...and though poppi has always hesitated to take the girls to games in opposing stadiums, he decided to look into going to a few games in baltimore at camden yards, cause we had never been to this lovely ball park--and he had heard that many sox fans do games there...The girls got very excited about the trip, especially my eldest daughter who has a starcrush on their rookie center fielder jacoby ellesbury--poppi had gotten us tickets near the red sox dugout, and she was hoping to be able to catch a glimpse of him upclose--i am sure the creative visualizations she had went beyond that as well!
So....we had a terrific trip down--all decked out in our sox gear--and we get to inner harbor, and it is a SEA of red and blue--there were literally thousands of sox fans there--very surreal--felt like being in boston...like fenway had been transported to baltimore, only newer and bigger! so...we were on cloud nine--by the amazing vibe--and everyone was smiling and saying HI and where are you from etc. on the way to the game--
we get to our seats to realize we are only 9 rows from the field--we walk down to the dugout and the sox come out to warm up--and there--RIGHT in front of my daughter is jacoby ellsebury--so, i tap her and say--there he is!--i click a few pictures--and she stammers out--jacoby! i love you!
He turns, smiles big, blushes and waves at her and says hi! I wanted to scream the energy coming off her was so high--like a huge rocket of joy shooting out of her! He let us take his picture and then went out to warm up--but she was so elated--it was her one dream come true (remember who you had a crush on at 14? imagine meeting them?)...
So, we went to our seats and in passing she said--now, wouldnt it be greeat if we DID see manny hit his 500th? it would make it the best night of my life...(realize it had taken manny over a month to hit 3 more homeruns, and it could take him another few weeks to hit 500)
BAM...a few innings in--he did it! the place went insane, and my daughter got her wish--we were also on espn in one of the shots--which was pretty cool!
They won the game--they also won the game the next day, and manny, who picked up the secret at spring training, hit 501 in that game--and as we drove home--we were in such a buzz of JOY, we didnt even notice the traffic--so all went well and we tucked into bed...
Follow your joy--allow yourself to DREAM big, and know that THROUGH your giddy, overwhelming enjoyment of silly fun things...all your dreams will come true!
