Follow your heart or follow your gut???
(http://www.expectantmothersguide.com/profiles/LifeLine/BellyButtonVig7.jpg)We feel both our emotions and our intuition at a very young age....is one better than the other?
Someone recently asked a question about whether there was a difference between using emotional guidance and intuition when making a decision,
feelings--aka emotions are indeed your inner guidepost to what is your TRUTH--also known as your inner being's "mission statement" this is WHO I AM when i am aligned with source....when you encounter a situation--you examine it and a certain emotion comes up and that will show you exactly HOW far away that situation is from where you want to be as a child of source....
example....
my mission statement is--i want to watch tv to laugh and have some fun...
situation--i turn on the television and its a news program that is filled with negative news...
my evaluation---(where i want to be to connect with source is at HAPPY/joy/fun)
---(where i am when i view the content before me--irritated, sad)
i then choose my next thought based on where i want to go--or i could receive inspired action...
i could choose to continue watching and dip my vibration down to the level of the program--but know from experience that to line up with the REALITY of the moment when it is not in alignment with my truth will only drop me further down the emotional scale--probably into a bit of hopelessness...
I could choose to try and find relief, knowing that in viewing the situation i can remain detached from it and see it as something occurring in another's life play--and not something in my pie--and that its OK to have your own pie--though, i know from experience, that that will only put me into a neutral place--its OK--but its not joy...
I could then, align with and segment intend to FIND a program that will suit my TRUTH...and switch the channel--and BAM, there is sponge bob to make me happy!
or i could just release it--and turn off the tv and focus on the next moment--
so that example explains using your emotional scale to make a decision on how to proceed in order to align more closely with your truth....
SECONDLY--we have the FEELINGS...and i liken THEM to actual bodily reactions to a certain stimulus...mostly, they are focused in the solar plexus region of the abdomen--where your lovely solar plexus chakra is the center of your personal power....it is also the energy vortex through which your GUT or intuition reads HOW The vibrations are aligning for you and how things are going to manifest into your life in the very near future....It is your early warning system for both GOOD (alignment with your truth) and NON-alignment with your truth..
so, example...
I could theoretically set an intention to align with individuals who are on my vibrational wavelength and who may share common interests with me and thus share in my joyful life adventure....
I then throw open the doors of my life experience to the universe and walk down my lovely path...
along the way--i encounter a certain individual---and i feel sick to my stomach at the thought of hanging out with them...
This is my intuition--through my solar plexus--telling me that the vibration of this individual is NOT in alignment with my truth, or my desires, or my intention or my mission statement...
and thus, i take a deep breath--realign with my mission statement and my intentions and walk on by...
i then see another person on my path--and that person brings feelings of butterflies and joy to my belly--
This is my intuition--through my solar plexus--telling me that the vibration of this individual is indeed in alignment with my truth, or my desires, or my intention or my mission statement---
and thus, i take a deep breath--send out a welcome vibe and bless our interations...
We are indeed all vibrational beings--but we are interacting vibrationally on two very different levels--spiritually--through source and the universe using the emotional guidance system as described by abraham...and ELECTRICALLY through our chakra system and our auric bodies, using the feeling centered in our solar plexus. I have a good brief description of the aura and chakra system on my blog if that would help you--Abraham speaks often about the aura and solar plexus...
so, the long and short of it is this--we have MANY wonderful ways of examining our experience--and i for one always follow my gut--and my emotions in making any decision--but my emotions SET up what my GUT is going to tell me--because without sending out the wanting to the universe, your gut has NO parameters on which to work on...
So, love your heart and your gut cause they are both there to help you on the wicked rockin path to your truth! :)
